Abstract Submission

The MASES 13th Annual Meeting will be held September 6, 2024.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please read this page in its entirety so you are able to start collecting pertinent information well in advance of your actual submission.

  • Abstracts should include Background/Introduction, Materials/Methods, Results, and Discussion/Conclusion sections.

  • Abstracts must be restricted to a firm 350 type written words.

  • Abstracts will be evaluated blindly by the Program Committee Reviewers.

  • Abstracts accepted for presentation will be included in the 13th Annual Meeting Program as a printed POSTER.

  • Submitting authors will receive either acceptance or regret notices in July of 2024.

Poster presentations consist of a visual display of research highlights on a fiberboard background.  The content of an effective poster presentation should be focused and concise.

Poster Presenter Guidelines

 

Poster location:  Ritz-Carlton - 1st Floor Foyer, adjacent to the Annual Meeting Ballroom.

All posters will be on display for the entire duration of the 13th Annual Meeting Program:  Friday, September 6, 2024 7AM - 6PM.

Authors are required to print and transport their poster to the meeting.

There will be no formal presentation, however, it is recommended that authors who are in attendance at the annual meeting stand near their posters during breaks to facilitate discussion.

 

Poster Set-up/Tear-down:

·       Posters must be set up prior to 7AM on Friday, September 6, 2024.

·       MASES will provide a poster set-up block of time on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 5PM to 7PM, and Friday, September 6, 2024 from 6AM - 7AM.  Staff will be available at that time to answer questions and assist with set-up.

·       A numbered board spot will correspond with the pre-assigned number which is listed as your ‘assigned ID’ in the Acceptance Notifications. This will be the number by which your poster is identified in all print material.

·       MASES will provide the pushpins required for attaching your poster to the board.

·       Do not mount your materials on thick poster board as it may be too heavy to attach with pushpins to the fiberboard.

·       Do not write or draw on the fiberboard or use adhesive putty.

·       Posters may not be removed until after the close of the MASES 12th Annual Meeting. If your poster is not removed after the meeting has ended, MASES staff will discard it.

 

Preparing a Printed Poster:

·       Posters should contain succinct headings that organize and logically display the information. 

·       Graphics should be explicit and brief.

·       Poster Board displays are 4ft high x 8 ft wide.  We will display 2 posters on each side. 

·       The dimensions of your poster should not exceed 45 inches wide and 36 inches high, you may use any standard poster size that fits within the 45”x36” space allotted for each poster.
